SUMMARY OF POSITION:

Be an integral part of the Knowledge & Development (K&D) Department team. Responsible for developing and producing programming for select INTA events of various sizes including virtual events related to The Women’s LeadershIP Initiative (WLI), as well as in-person Annual and Leadership Meetings. The candidate will work in partnership with member volunteers, other INTA staff, and vendors. The candidate will also have a co-staff liaison role leading The Women’s LeadershIP Initiative.

DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:

Develops and produces small to mid-scale in-person and virtual events globally.

• Collaborates with relevant stakeholders to develop content and related calendars and timelines for Annual and Leadership Meetings, and WLI.
• Creates comprehensive event project plans, including run-of-show documentation; conducts regular checkpoints with deliverable owners, including outside technical vendors; escalates risks and challenges appropriately and ensures small to mid-scale virtual events are delivered within time and budget.
• Edits and proofreads content to ensure accuracy and consistency with INTA Style Guide.
• Research industry trends and topics to develop relevant and timely content.
• Partners with the marketing and communications departments to support the promotion of various K&D initiatives.
• Plans to allocate time accordingly: 50% Women’s LeadershIP Initiative, 50% Annual and Leadership Meetings.

Enhance member experience as a Staff Liaison

• Performs co-staff liaison duties to the Women’s LeadershIP Initiative Project Team.
• Provides guidance and leadership on all aspects of the committee’s activities, including, but not limited to,
o Preparing committee meeting agendas and related PowerPoint Presentations.
o Selecting committee members.
o Requesting waivers for approval by the Board of Directors.
o Partnering with member volunteers to set objectives in support of the Strategic Plan and Implementation Plan.
o Coordinating managing committee projects, reporting on committee work, and identifying future leaders of the committee and the Association.
o Maintaining minutes and updating the relevant reports for Board review.

PERFORMANCE STANDARDS:

• Development and implementation of timely, well-presented small to mid-scale events to reflect INTA’s commitment to being the leading education provider on trademarks, brands, and related IP.
• Registrant satisfaction.
• Internal stakeholder satisfaction.
• Successful registration for WLI and other event related activities.
• Committee leadership and member satisfaction.
• Robust and timely submissions for Board of Directors reports and Senior Management Notes.

POSITION REQUIREMENTS:


• Personal understanding and commitment to INTA’s mission, vision, and values, including the Association’s vision to offer robust in-person, hybrid, and virtual products.
• Minimum of Bachelor’s degree in relevant field. Paralegal certificate is a plus.
• 1-3 years of experience in in-person and/or virtual meeting content development, copywriting, or a related role.
• Demonstrated excellent writing and editing skills with a strong attention to detail.
• Ability to work independently and collaboratively in a fast-paced environment.
• Strong organizational and time management skills.
• Passion for staying current on industry trends and best practices.
• Legal, business, communications, and marketing acumen preferred.
• Experience working with C-Suite executives, a plus.
• Ability to work flexible hours, including occasional evenings and weekends.

Salary: $43,888.00 - $58,656 per year. Final salary will be determine based on experience and expertise.
